Back to Work!
The PV&W Car & Locomotive Works has resumed work on Erie #2914.
The following were delivered by FedEx Ground today:
-(1) Front Frame Spreader
-(1) Center Plate-FINISHED
-(2) Brake Shaft Bearing
-(2) Link Motion Bracket
-(2) Spring Equalizing Bearing
The Center Plate was completed today, all that is left to be done is machine the center pin for the leading truck. All other parts will be partially completed within the week with cutting and trimming still needed to be done. One Spring Equalizing Bearing will need to be reordered due to a measurement error.
Pieces of the side frame bar stock are going to be reordered at a low cost to help align the entire frame better. Alignment was thrown off due to measurement errors, and machining problems, but a solution has been discovered.
Our goal is by the end of August, to have the frame on the drivers, with the trailing truck completed.
Photos will be posted tomorrow of the progress made so far. Out appologies for not having photos up the last time.

Erie #2931-Section 1: Frame
The bar stock for the main frame parts arrived today from Speedy Metals of New Berlin, WI. I started drilling them today and the next part is to have some of the holes tapped and a little milling to be done then some more frame stabilizing parts are going to be ordered from Little Engines of NJ. The pump bracket, tie bars and pedestal binders are complete.
I expect by May to have the frame on the axels and drivers. I'll post photos tomorrow of the work thus far.
